Book Study: To Read Stuff You Have to Know Stuff by Kelly Gallagher

In his new book, Gallagher maintains that for our students to think critically, they have to know more. To know more, they have to read more. His system for building skills comes down to 4 parts: words; sentences and passages; articles and books.

Course outline:

  • Week 1: Chapters 1 and 2

  • Week 2: Chapter 3

  • Week 3: Chapter 4

  • Week 4: Chapter 5

  • Week 5: Chapter 6

NOTE: Participants need to obtain a copy of the book prior to the start of the course.
