Book Study on The Little Book of Restorative Justice by Katherine Evans and Dorothy Vaandering

The Little Book of Restorative Justice in Education: Fostering Responsibility, Healing, and Hope in Schools by Katherine Evans and Dorothy Vaandering offers insight on how principles from this ancient wisdom can empower educators and school leaders to create just and equitable learning environments, help students build and maintain healthy relationships, heal harm, and transform conflict. The goal of this course is full implementation of the practical strategies outlined within this book to maximize student impact.

This book study is asynchronous and will run 5 weeks with the following pacing guide:

  • Week #1: Ch. 1 (p. 1-15)

  • Week #2: Ch. 2 & 3 (p. 16-47)

  • Week #3: Ch. 4 & 5 (p. 49-89)

  • Week #4: Ch. 6 (p. 90-112)

  • Week #5: Ch. 7 (p. 113-124)

NOTE: Participants need to obtain a copy of the book prior to the start of the course.
