Virtual World Language Support Network and PLC
2026 - 2027
For the 2026-2027 school year, the Albany/Saratoga Virtual World Language PLC will merge with the North Country PLC, to continue the tradition of collaboration and innovation in the World Language Classroom.
The 2026-2027 PLC will focus on:
The continued implementation of the updated standards, particularly at the Checkpoint B level
The implementation of the updated Checkpoint B Exams
Advocacy and strategies to continue programs and increase enrollment
Community outreach, field trips and real-world experiences for World Language students
Seal of Biliteracy support and mentoring
New AP Exam format
Planning, teaching and assessing in the age of AI
The PLC will meet for 15 hours total from October 2026-May 2027, with a total of 3 hours of asynchronous time. All live meetings will be virtual via Google Meet.
