Jordan Weatherhead is a middle school science teacher at Glens Falls Middle School with a special interest in improving equity and breaking down barriers to STEM achievement for all students. She holds a BA in Earth Systems Sciences and Women's and Gender Studies, as well as a MS in Environmental Sciences from Clark University and a Masters in Science Teaching from Empire State University. She has taught all over New York State from New York City to the Adirondacks.

Before entering the classroom, Jordan worked with researchers and conservation professionals to develop science curriculum based on emerging science in climate and wildlife conservation science. Those experiences inform the citizen science projects that her students participate in each year, from quantifying native biodiversity to developing storm preparedness plans for local communities. Jordan is especially proud of the work she's done to empower underrepresented and marginalized voices as a facilitator for student led affinity groups and the staff professional development that emerged out of student experiences and recommendations.
