Music is the Language of Awesome!
The Berkshire-Hudson Valley chapter of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (BHVAOSA) is celebrating 50 years of providing high-quality professional development workshops for music educators. They serve the greater capital region of New York, as well as southern Vermont and western Massachusetts, and celebrate the approach of Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman and their belief that music education should be an active, joyful, and creative experience.
This workshop focuses on creative music and movement activities for preschool, primary and intermediate children. Our favorites! Developed by the kids! Lessons they want to come back to again and again! Music and movement foster a sense of wonder and joy in, creating a safe space for early learners to explore, to play, and to understand as they give themselves to new adventures. Come join us for a day of looking at the world around us through children's eyes.
Please feel free to bring a recorder and a ukulele if you have them.
