Movement & Sound Meditation Circles
In this course, participants will be invited to gather in six synchronous virtual circle gatherings. When we take time to replenish ourselves and fill our own cup, we are able to serve others from the overflow. This allows us to show up to our classrooms feeling supported, sustainable, and impactful for the students we work with everyday.
Circles are a return to something ancestral and intuitive. In the circle, everyone is both teacher and student. Everyone is witnessed and is witnessing. It's a space of connection where we greet new cycles again and again by integrating nuances, meeting new edges, and re-patterning. A guided movement sequence and flow will be offered at every circle, with modifications offered throughout to make the practice accessible to everybody. A live curated sound bath will be offered at the end of every circle, too. This meditation practice requires participants to rest in an extended savasana (rest pose) and to tune into the frequencies and soothing tones of the instruments playing in the soundscape. Sound bath meditations also have many benefits for our physical and emotional wellbeing. The circle will close with share-outs for integration.
